This week’s Thursday was an exhaustive day for me. As I had too many calls. I returned home by 7:30 pm. I went inside my room and saw an amazon package sitting on my chair. I became curious. I opened the package, and I smiled. It was from Anshuman Tiwari. 2 days before I simply commented on one of his posts like I usually do. He recommended to read some books on his post. “GRIT” was one of them. I commented saying “GRIT” is in my wish list. I didn’t buy the book as I felt I didn’t have time to read. He immediately asked my address. I sent him and I forgot about it. 2 days later the courier guy delivered the book to my home. My mom bought and kept it in my room. It was simply a book. But it gave me a moment to taste happiness. We creators engage with other creators in a hope to grow. If not, why do we spend time commenting then? But what was happening through my comments was magical. Here are some surprising incidents happened to me just through comments. Comments – A trust building toolI met Anshuman Tiwai 2 months ago in a LinkedIn creators meet organized by him. He asked my name. I said Yashar. He asked, “Arafath?” That’s my second name. He already knew me because I often comment on his post. I met another creator on the same meet. I recognized her as I would comment on her post. And she recognized me as she would respond to it. She said, I was skeptical to come to this meet as she knew no one here. But when she saw my comment saying I will be coming, she then felt good to come here. Comments lead you to leads.Once a friend messaged me on WhatsApp. He asked some advice regarding job search and cracking interviews. We both were in the same field, which is analytics. He asked for a call. I said yes. Then we connected. During the call he said, he started job search 2 weeks before. Being in a company for 4 years he never searched one. So, he wanted my advice. Then he said, the reason he messaged me and asked for advice was because he read one of my comments where I talked about my job search experience. So, he immediately texted me asking for help. That is when I realized the value of a single comment. It goes beyond growing your audience or engaging with people. Every word you post online, makes an impact to people in a way you never know. So, if you have read this letter till the end. Just go to your social media and drop some valuable comments on other people’s post. You never know how it changes lives. To read more such posts:
